"Rob Myers is to agile software development
what Yoda is to practical use of The Force."

— a client of Rob's Kanban coaching.

Rob is the founder and principal instructor/coach of Agile Institute, and author of the soon-to-be-published book, Essential Test-Driven Development (Addison-Wesley, late 2024.)

He has been a software development professional since 1986, and has been training and coaching organizations in Agile engineering practices since 1998. His courses blend fun, practical, hands-on coding labs, "Training From the Back of the Room” advanced learning techniques, and relevant first-person stories from both successful and not-so-successful Agile implementations.

Along with his flagship course, Essential Test-Driven Development, Rob also teaches Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Developer® (CSD), Advanced CSD (A-CSD), and Behavior Driven Development Essentials.

Rob's clients have ranged from tiny start-ups to massive Fortune 100 international conglomerates, including: Adobe, American Express, Apple, Capital Group, Dart Container, Fugro, Halliburton, HBO, Intel, LG, Mayo, Microsoft, Nationwide Insurance, Netflix, Nike, Optum, Riot Games, SalesForce.com, Samsung, Schilling Robotics, Symantec, Vanguard, Visa, & ZocDoc.

Prior to the 2020 pandemic, Rob enjoyed teaching over 1000 software developers worldwide, wherever clients sent him: Argentina, Canada, China, Denmark, England, India, Ireland, Japan, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and numerous cities throughout the US.

Fortunately, technical courses are just as enjoyable and effective via Zoom, with many materials, charts, and exercises delivered via Miro.

You are in Good Hands...

Rob Myers gets my highest recommendation. He played an important role on a critical project for us and was a pleasure to work with and our client valued his contribution. I will never hesitate to engage Rob again should the opportunity arise. His contribution and knowledge of agile software development processes makes him a valued asset to any team that engages him as coach, mentor, or team member.

CEO and Chief Storyteller at Menlo Innovations

It's quite rare, but every once in a while you'll meet someone whose skills are so deep and ninja-like that your own professional capabilities are expanded just for having met them. Rob Myers is to agile software development what Yoda is to practical use of The Force. He put the Prezi Growth Team on a whole 'nother level, in terms of how we do what we do. I'll always be grateful for the gifts of insight he gave us and the change he wrought in our process.

Jack Mardack
Cofounder at Oyster®

Rob is one of a few dozen people in the world with deep, broad understanding of the economic principles of Lean-Agile Software Development and the know-how to operationalize those principles at scale in diverse cultures and technology stacks. He is a real rarity in the Agile world, someone who can both do *and* teach -- which gives him immediate credibility and allows him to help smooth out technological friction points. I strive to work with Rob again when I can, and strongly recommend him for any individual, team, or organization who is interested in getting the real benefits from Lean-Agile practices and not just the name.

Matt Hargett
25-year veteran in Product and Technology Leadership

Rob has a gift for making very complex topics very easy to understand. Unlike many trainers, he has significant real-word experience in the software industry which allows him to be very pragmatic with his teaching and coaching. Rob's passion for helping development teams improve as much as possible is evident each time he is in front of a class.
At Agile For All, I still work with Rob and he continues to do an awesome job with the courses and coaching he delivers to my clients. He has dealt with my best clients and the results have always been overwhelmingly positive.
